We assess your weight, body mass index (BMI), pulse, blood pressure, and temperature during the vital signs check portion of your appointment.

Medical history review and physical

We review your symptoms and medical history and complete a physical examination to assess your throat, breathing, heartbeat, abdomen, skin, and reflexes. In addition, we may perform breast exam and/or a Pap test to screen for signs of cervical cancer in women.

Diagnosing testing

If you have an illness or disease risk factors or show signs of a medical problem, we might recommend completing diagnostic tests. Examples include nasal or throat swabs, STD testing, blood tests, urine tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, or other imaging procedures.
